In case you didn’t already know, Kelsey was the first High School senior session I photographed as ANP! When I got an email from her mama about Kelsey’s engagement to Adam, my heart burst at the seams! Kelsey + Adam are just the sweetest, happiest souls… it was only fitting that THIS wedding was the 100th wedding of my career! WHATtheWHAT?!
It was a hot day, but the beautiful views of Historic Ashland made it all worth it! I could go on and on about this wedding, so I’ll just tell you the most memorable part of the day for me:
At the end of the wedding, Kelsey + Adam chose to play a slower song and have all their guests form a circle on the dance floor around them. As a version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” played, Kelsey + Adam walked around the circle and hugged every guest that remained. Cue. The. Waterworks. It was the most precious thing I’ve ever seen and SUCH a good idea! They finished hugging everyone, Kelsey hugging her mama twice, and they turned to me with their arms open. That’s when I really started to cry!
Kelsey… Adam… Allison + Dave… Kim + Geoff… Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a special day, and for welcoming me like family. The love and friendship you all share for each other is admirable and so refreshing to see! Hugs <3
