Ah, this engagement session!!! When I saw on Facebook that Tanner and Kelsey were engaged, I immediately texted my best friend Harmony and said, “if Kelsey asks me to be her photographer, will you road trip to Vermont with me for their engagement session?!” Kelsey and Harmony are friends and so that’s mainly how I know Kelsey!! Harmony said yes, so we loaded up the car at 5:30pm on a Thursday and started our 8 hour journey!
It wasn’t a bad drive, truly! I’m so glad we headed up during the night because there was almost no traffic. I drove the entire 8 hours to VT, and the entire 8 hours home. I would much rather be the driver on long drives like that– I get SO bored in the car! Anyway, we arrived at about 2:30 in the morning and hit they hay almost immediately upon arrival. We spent most of Friday checking our Church St- a bunch of cute little shops and restaurants. That evening we headed to a bar called Drink, that has lots of board games to play while you hang out. It was SO MUCH FUN! We need bars like that around here! Haha!
On Saturday, the temperature was about 4 degrees with a real feel of negative 10+, but it was picture day so we trucked up to Stowe, Vermont for Kelsey + Tanner’s engagement session! Thankfully, Kelsey purchased hand warmers that we all had stuffed in our gloves, boots, you name it!! We all froze, but it was worth it because the location was beautiful!!!
Kelsey and Tanner, thank you for being such wonderful hosts and for inviting us to your home. Harmony and I had a blast and I cannot wait for a) your wedding and b) another Vermont trip!!!! Enjoy some of my favorites from our session!!!!
