These two are troopers. Not like cop troopers, but up-early-for-a-sunrise-session kind of troopers.
Meet Madea + Alex.
At 7am on Saturday we met at Chickie’s Rock for their engagement session. I knew it was going to be a good session before we started. Madea, from day one, has been very “you tell me what to do and we’ll do it”. I was surprised at how ok she was when I said, “if you want to shoot there in the morning, we have to do a sunrise session because that’s when the light will be best.” I cannot thank her enough for trusting me!
This is the 2nd time I’ve done a sunrise session, and it’s the 2nd time the morning stayed overcast for me. Although the early morning sunlight would’ve been beautiful, it was my first time shooting at this location and I think the photography Gods were on my side that morning! On an overcast day you can shoot in any direction, which is AMAZING, so have no fear if your session is scheduled on a cloudy day! Also, this location is very popular for hikers. If it would’ve been a sunny morning, I bet we would’ve had to work around a lot of people. I’m so thankful it was just us 3 there that morning. Working with Madea and meeting Alex for the first time, only to learn he’s just as outgoing as her has me all types of excited for their Moondancer Winery wedding in September!!!!
Enjoy my favorites of this fun couple
