This girl was my first paid high school senior gig. That statement alone should let you know how excited I am that her + her mama reached out to me about wedding photography. I actually think her mama reached out to me before Adam proposed!! I have known this family for years now, and knew right away how wonderful this wedding is going to be! When we met for their engagement session, I was pleasantly surprised that Adam was equally as outgoing, friendly and full of smiles as Kelsey is. I'm actually just truly thrilled when any groom shows up to photos in a good mood! Haha! ;) We had such a good time, and I got to see some awesome-ish wrestling type moves at the end of the session when Adam had a photo request! Haha! They've booked a beautiful new venue for their wedding and I'm so excited to experience the venue with them! Enjoy some of my favorites from their engagement session!
Gosh guys. I truly do not even know where to start with this wedding. Starting with an amazing venue + team of vendors, a bride who doesn't stop smiling, a groom who is equally as outgoing and happy as his wife (!!!), grandmas as flower girls and cardboard cut outs of their dog, and Megg asking me to dance with her before the end of the night, it was truly an amazing day. A day that was 10 years in the making and let me tell you what.. EVERYONE was SO EXCITED that the day was finally here and they did not hold back their excitement and happiness.
Megg + James, I can't thank you enough for giving us the opportunity to be a part of your wedding. Jessie and I have not stopped talking about how wonderful it was to worth the the both of you, your amazing friends and your sweet sweet family. Your wedding was so refreshing for us and was such a great booster to get us through the next 2 crazy months full of weddings! Your love and happiness, super fun personalities, and kind hearts are an inspiration to everyone around you. I hope we can have more pizza and beer dates!! Lol! Seriously though, you guys are amazing and I am so so happy for you <3
This day was just spectacular. It was my first Historic Shady Lane wedding ever, and they were calling for 60% chance of rain! To say I was stressing is an understatement! Mike and I have known Jesse + Erin for some time, and I think it's safe to say everyone who knows them has been waiting for this wedding for a long time! Thankfully, the photography Gods were on my side, and we had 0 rain all day!! Woot woot! I'd be lying if I said I didn't get a little teary eyed editing the photos! I'm so thankful to have been able to capture this special day for them!
Big shout out to Olivia Rehman for 2nd shooting and taking over at the reception so I could enjoy the wedding with our friends!
There are no words for this wedding. Everything was classically beautiful... Timeless.
So timeless that I think I'm returning more black and white images from this Greek Orthodox Church wedding than any wedding before. It truly felt like we flew overseas for this wedding!!! Pete + Alyssa are such wonderful people, and it was such a pleasure to meet their families. I would especially like to give a shout out to Amanda, the bride's sister and Maid of Honor. Girl made sure I got a slice of pizza, and if you've been following along on Instagram, you know I [l o v e] pizza!! (more…)
I will never forget the first time I met Hannah + Spencer for coffee at Starbucks. They were sweet, gentle souls, telling me all about their time together. We talked the details of the day, asked and answered some questions, and we were on our way. A few months later, Hannah came to my house and we finalized everything, and even though it was work, it felt more like hanging out. When their wedding day arrived, I felt 0 nerves! I knew I was working with one of the sweetest bride + grooms ever! It was the first time they were ever in front of my camera and they were pros!!!
I first met Katie's father at my best friend's wedding. At some point, I remember being slightly less than sober, talking to John about his daughter and Steve. I remember John telling me how thankful he is that they found each other, how wonderful Steve is with their boys, and how much he loved his daughter. I had known Steve since high school, so I could attest to how kind he is. I had met Katie a few times before, and thought she was so beautiful and unique... Seriously. I wish I had the guts to rock a full sleeve like she does!!!
I always have the most fun shooting weddings for people I've known for a while, and this wedding surely was a good time! The threat of rain kept us on our toes until we ventured outside for photos, realized it wasn't raining, and relief beamed from Toni's eyes as soon as she heard, "the radar is clear." . She had her heart set on getting married outside and so they did! It was a beautiful ceremony with romantic overcast light. Phil's reaction to seeing his bride was definitely the best I've ever witnessed!
Some of you may remember the rain we had on October 8th. Over here at ANP, we had a wedding that day. A beautiful farm wedding, the rain didn't stop anyone from having a great time! Thankfully, that morning I chose to wear my rain boots and take my Jeep. From now on, if I don't need 4x4 to get to your wedding, welllll.. just kidding!
Our cousin got married in September!!
It was a hot September day. The sun was in and out. Family was laughing, smiling, and sweating a little. Matt + Stella asked me to take their photos, and be a guest, so I had Cambria Creative Photography take over after all the important stuff was done! It was so much fun working with her because we have such different styles, but we made it work and got some really great images! Enjoy!
Michael +Erika's wedding was amazing. It's as simple as that! Everything from the tartan details that are Michael's family's colors to the private estate they chose for their wedding venue was perfect. We had beautiful sunlight throughout the day that kissed the skin of all the happy people involved. Jessie + I are so thankful to have been a part of such a great day.
A fun little fact, while on the way to the church for the ceremony, we figured out that the bride and I might, somehow, be related... Mr. Sitler.. My great-grandmother married Jeff's grandfather. So if that means we're related, yay! (more…)
