If I could redo my wedding, it would be like Shae + Dylan's elegant Booking House wedding. Every detail was planned perfectly, from the floral choice to the glow sticks that came out on the dance floor at the end of the night. One of those glow sticks is still keeping my daughter content haha! As I was walking around taking reception photos of people dancing, so many people said to me "this is SO MUCH FUN!".. and it WAS! Their wedding truly represented them.
One thing that stuck out to me during the wedding was actually the best man speech. Firstly, it was hilarious when Dylan took the microphone to quiet everyone down and said something along the lines of, "Hey everyone, I know this your wedding day, but I'm trying to listen to this speech!"... and when the best man said how Shae just lets Dylan be Dylan. I'm not sure why that stuck with me so much.. I guess because it's true and it's such a blessing to find someone who constantly roots for you, lets you be you, loves all of your shenanigans and always has your back.
Shae + Dylan, you two are amazing humans. Or cats. I'm not sure which, but thank you for letting me be a part of your day <3

In case you didn't already know, Kelsey was the first High School senior session I photographed as ANP! When I got an email from her mama about Kelsey's engagement to Adam, my heart burst at the seams! Kelsey + Adam are just the sweetest, happiest souls... it was only fitting that THIS wedding was the 100th wedding of my career! WHATtheWHAT?!
It was a hot day, but the beautiful views of Historic Ashland made it all worth it! I could go on and on about this wedding, so I'll just tell you the most memorable part of the day for me:
We sat at Brewvino for hours talking about their relationship, proposal story and wedding plans. We talked so much we barely got to eat our pizza... just kidding. We talked AND ate! I knew right away that Kaila, Matt and I would be a good fit for each other and create some amazing images on their wedding day!
It was my first time at Historic Acres of Hershey, and let me tell you... this venue does NOT disappoint! From the stunning farm house, to the picturesque property, you cannot take a bad picture! When I arrived, Kaile was so calm and collected. She kept asking me "is there anything I should be doing?" because the day and timeline went off without a hitch! (more…)
When I first met Sam + Charlie for breakfast, I knew I loved them right away. They wanted their wedding day to be special. They wanted beautiful images to capture the sweetest moments. They wanted the day to be simple, because they know the most important part about a wedding day is marrying the love of your life.
I love shooting weddings at Wyndridge! I mean, come on! How GORGEOUS is the venue?! I hadn't been here since they first opened and my photographer heart was just so happy when I arrived. As soon as I started the detail photos, I knew it was going to be a great day. It was classy, but not over the top... my style ;)
Your wedding day will be one of the best days of your life, there is no doubt about that, but there are some people out there who aren't into the fancy, fluffy stuff. The idea of a huge production turns them off, and they could care less about what's trending in the wedding industry. If you are one of those people, hello! Let's chat ;)
Your wedding should be real and true to who you are, and if you're not keen on playing head production person, there are other options for you... liiiike eloping! Now, I know what you're thinking... "you want us to run off without our parents and get married?!"... and the answer is no! Your parents can TOTALLY be there! I'm just sayin' lets find a pretty location, someone to marry you guys, and maybe invite your parents and 2(+/-) friends and get ya married! You can throw a party for the rest of the friends and family later!!
His deployment got bumped up and that's just never an easy thing to deal with. When they found out Tyler would be leaving early, Kayleigh contacted me about having some photos taken before he left. We had it on the calendar, and in typical PA weather fashion, the day of was FREEZING and SO WINDY! We were in a bit of a panic for a hot second until I asked Kayleigh how much she trusted me on a scale of 1-10... this is something I find myself asking my clients often when I have a wild idea- haha! She said 10, and so I suggested an in home session. The first thing people say when I mention in home sessions is that their house "isn't worthy", or whatever... it's some type of excuse or fear and I totally get it!
I want to stop right there and say something: your house is WORTHY. It doesn't have to be Pinterest perfect... it has to be "YOU" perfect! The images we capture are for you, not for strangers on the internet. Plan your outfits well and just be happy and cuddly and leave the rest up to me!
Jenn + Don's wedding was my first wedding back at Blue Hound Farm since it's gone under new ownership! If you've ever been to this venue before, you know it had it's own rustic charm. It was beautiful in it's own way, but my goodness have the new owners totally revamped the place! The bridal suite has been redone, the gardens have been redone, and the ceremony site has as well! I knew that the venue paired with Jenn's creative eye was going to be magical, and guys, if I could redo my wedding it'd probably look 95% like this!
Our engagement session was the first time I met Chelsea and Erick! Chelsea + I had kind of met before, via FaceTime, but this was the first time we got to meet in person and I was so excited!!! Chelsea and Erick are currently in a long distance relationship as she finishes up school, so we schedule their engagement session far in advance and thankfully had beauuuutiful weather the day of! We headed down to John Wright Restaurant for some industrial styled photos, since their wedding venue is similar! We finished up at Kline's Run Park "running" around the field.. haha, Chelsea!! " I don't run." so funny! By the end of our session, Erick was sweeping the hair out of Chelsea's eyes unprompted.. I just know their wedding is going to be a fairytale for all involved.
I've know Jenny for some time now, as I worked with her sister at Marcello's when we were in High School. The first time I met Jenn in person, I remember being in awe of how welcoming she is. She is one of those people who just make you feel so comfortable, like you've been best friends forever!!! I love those kind of people! I have been taking her younger sister's photos for a long long time now, and so I've just kind of been waiting + praying that one day Jenny would be in front of the camera herself!!! The first time she was in front of my camera was her sister's wedding, but this October was HER turn!
I feel like I start off everything blog post bragging about how sweet this couple is, or that couple is... and it's probably because I do. But that's only because all of my couples are the sweetest!!! We had to reschedule Justine + Dakota's photos once or twice, and they were so easy going about it! Willing to do whatever it took to get a day with great weather! Well, sure enough the back up date we set was calling for rain!!! Gosh, this fall had some weird weather. Upon checking the hourly forecast, we decided to stick with the same day, but bump our session time to the morning and it worked out perfectly!
